The Athletic reports that the 2030 draft class has not yet been finalized, with the Warriors receiving a first-round draft pick from the 2031 class from the Kings or San Antonio Spurs, who were traded to Sacramento.
Golden State’s request for the 2031 class is to not protect their ranking, but we will have to wait and see what the situation is like on the field.
The race to sign free agent Kuminga has heated up after the Phoenix Suns made a four-year, $90 million offer, but talks have stalled. The Warriors are reportedly not impressed with the Footprint Center’s deal.
Meanwhile, Jonathan turned down a two-year, $45 million offer from Golden State with a team option in the second season.
The final deadline for both parties to reunite is October 1st, with a one-year, $7.9 million contract required. Once the contract expires, he will become an active free agent next summer.
Monk has been a standout performer since joining the Kings, averaging 15.3 points, 4.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 214 games over three seasons.
