Spanish outlet Cadena Cope reported on Monday that there are three key reasons why Zinedine Zidane will not return to the Santiago Bernabeu for a third time, with the 52-year-old once again linked with the position of ‘Los Blancos’ boss.

Carlo Ancelotti is under pressure again after Saturday’s humiliating 4-0 home defeat to Barcelona in ‘El Clasico’ and Zidane’s name has been mentioned again after working as Los Blancos’ manager twice, first from January 2016 until May 2018, then returning again in March 2019 until May 2021.

According to reports, Zidane will not return to the Santiago Bernabeu for three reasons. The first and most important is that Real Madrid have no plans to sack Ancelotti in the middle of the season, but may reconsider the Italian’s future after the end of the season. 

Next, Zidane has no plans to return to Real Madrid and the 52-year-old is determined to take charge of the French national team when Didier Deschamps’ contract ends after the 2026 World Cup.
