Van Dijk: Saliba is better than when he was the same age Sakidbet 

Sakidbet  Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk has hailed Arsenal defender William Saliba as a better defender than he was at the same age. Sakidbet 

    The 23-year-old France international is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League at the moment and has helped the Gunners become title contenders over the past couple of years, with comparisons to Van Dijk at Liverpool being drawn.

    The Reds captain said of Saliba during a chat with Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel: “It’s clear that Saliba is on a good run now.”

    “He’s the first one I think of right now. You know what? He’s solid. I think he’s good on the ball.”

    Then Rio asked, “Does he remind you of yourself at all? Because I compare him to you a lot, in many aspects of his game.”

    “Yes, there are some, you know what? I think at my age I was far from where he is now,” Van Dijk replied.
