However, Paris Saint-Germain have set a price tag of at least €60 million for the Uruguayan midfielder, meaning talks between the two parties have been slow to progress, even though Ugarte wants to move to the Red Devils. 

The Athletic’s David Ornstein recently revealed that the Red Devils have started to reduce their interest in Ugarte because Paris has shown no sign of lowering its asking price, leading the English giants to look for other options.

The incident is sure to upset the Uruguayan midfielder, who has become a substitute for PSG and is looking to move to another club in search of regular playing time.

It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will look at another midfielder as revealed by The Athletic. Previously, there were reports that the Manchester team might go back to negotiate with Sofiane Amrabat again.
