UEFA has fined Barcelona €10,000 and banned them from selling tickets to fans for their Champions League match at Red Star Belgrade on November 6 after some Barca fans held up Nazi banners during their 2-1 defeat to Monaco, Relevo reported on Friday. 

After Barcelona’s radical fans (Boixos Nois) held up a Nazi-related banner reading ‘Flick heil’ at Monaco’s Stade Louis de la Ligue 1 away game last week, the Blaugrana’s management has condemned the action as damaging to the club. 

Meanwhile, UEFA has not been idle about the issue, with reports suggesting that the European football body has fined Barcelona €10,000 and banned Blaugrana fans from attending Serbia’s away game against Red Star Belgrade on November 6.

For the far-right football fan group Boixos Nois, their headquarters were raided by police last year and a large amount of Nazi memorabilia and weapons belonging to 12 members of the group were found, who were arrested on charges including drug trafficking, drug smuggling and murder. ( thaisiambet )
