Toffees push for Lyon midfielder Mangala before deadline pgzen

L’Equipe reports that the Toffees are looking for a replacement for Amadou Onana, who has moved to Aston Villa, which has seen the team’s midfield efficiency plummet, leading to a series of defeats in the first two matches of the new season, with a total of 7 goals conceded, leaving them bottom of the table. 

The funny thing is that Mangala is a former Forest player who went on loan to OL for the second half of last season before being bought outright this summer.

     But now he is about to return to play in the English Premier League on loan for the entire 2024-25 season, with an option to buy outright at the end of next season for 33.73 million pounds (about 40 million euros).

The Belgian made 12 appearances in all competitions for Lyon last season, scoring two goals , and is contracted until June 2028 .  ( pgzen )
