Youri Tielemans, the 27-year-old midfielder, is confident that Aston Villa will bounce back soon after the Villans’ form continued to falter, losing four games in all competitions and failing to win their last five games before the November international break, The Athletic reported on Monday.

Aston Villa began to stumble after being held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth in stoppage time before Unai Emery’s side suffered four consecutive defeats in all competitions, starting with Crystal Palace (1-2) in the Carabao Cup, then losing to Tottenham Hotspur (1-4) in the Premier League, then losing to Club Brugge (0-1) in the Champions League and most recently losing to Liverpool (0-2) in the Premier League on Saturday.

But Aston Villa have a chance to catch their breath during the November international break before they return to Villa Park to face Leicester City on Saturday, November 23, before hosting Juventus in the Champions League in the middle of the following week.

‘I think we have to pick ourselves up and get results when we come back from the international break,’ Tielemans said. ‘Now we have to get results, try to score goals and get our confidence back. It would be a good idea to do that at home in our next home game. Let’s rest a little bit and then we’ll go again.’

Tielemans, one of five outfielders to have started every Premier League game this season, said: ‘To be honest I thought we played really well against (Liverpool).
