New York Giants head coach Brian DeBoll confirmed Wednesday that he has decided to start quarterback Rod Taylor in place of Tommy DeVito in the game. Get the LA Rams this Sunday. According to a report from NFL Network  superwinway

DeBoll removed DeVito at the end of the first half of Monday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The undrafted rookie quarterback completed 9 of 16 passes for 55 yards through the first two quarters, while Taylor played on just three plays in the second half. A touchdown run by running back Saquon Barkley put the Giants back in the game before DeBoll decided the 35-year-old would start in place of rookie.  ( superwinway )

‘He’s earned the right to start this game,’ DeBoll said of Taylor, who will get the chance to start against the Rams. 

Taylor started three games this season in weeks 6-8 when Daniel Jones was first injured. He completed 46 of 72 passes for 487 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, but had nine sacks, which resulted in a rib injury that cleared the way for DeVito to play.

When Jones was injured and had to take a long break while Taylor was still recovering from his injury, DeVito got the start and created a stir by leading the Blue Giants to win 3 games in a row, but in the quarter. Rookie backs have struggled over the past two weeks, so Deboll has given Taylor the chance to lead the team again.
