Reports from ‘ESPN’ say that Van Gundy last season was a senior advisor to the NBA champion Boston Celtics. Before that, the 62-year-old former coach analyzed games broadcast on television. and the ESPN network for more than 16 seasons.  ( sakidbet )

Jeff’s coaching experience dates back to the late ’90s, with the highlight being leading the New York Knicks to the 1999 NBA Finals with a stint at Madison Square Garden for seven years.

He then managed the Houston Rockets for four seasons starting in 2003-04.

The Clippers are moving to a new home stadium, the Intuit Dome, next season after sharing their home with the LA Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown LA since 1999, so they want to clean up. Put everything in place and prepare for success in the future. 

In addition to hiring Coach Lu’s right-hand man, a few weeks ago the 47-year-old coach just signed a new five-year, $70 million contract. 

Lou and Van Gundy have known each other for a long time, going back to the 2004-05 season when Jeff was the head coach of the Rockets. Tyrone was also a Rockets player and was used in 21 games.
