    In the game at Estadio Centenario, Uruguay deployed Facundo Peistri, Rodrigo Aguirre, Maximiliano Araujo and Darwin Nunez as the star strikers, while Colombia was led by Luis Diaz, Juan Quintero and Hon Duran.

    The first half had only one goal and it came from the visitors in the 31st minute. Juan Quintero took a free kick from the left side of the penalty area and faked a shot at the near post. Sergio Rochet was caught off guard and was unable to defend. Colombia led 1-0 at the end of the first half.

    In the second half, Uruguay equalized in the 57th minute. Federico Valverde broke through on the left before crossing into the penalty area. There was nothing in the ball, but Davinson Sanchez dove and slid the ball into his own net. The score was tied at 1-1.
