Houston Texans left guard Kenyon Green will miss the rest of the season after the 23-year-old suffered a shoulder injury in Thursday’s loss to the New York Jets, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.

The former 2022 first-round draft pick left the game in the second quarter after attempting to block Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, was checked out in the sideline medical tent, and headed into the locker room to get an X-ray and was ruled out of the game.

Green suffered a torn rotator cuff in the preseason and the 23-year-old left guard has returned to action in nine games this season after starting 14 of 15 in his rookie season before suffering a hamstring injury against the Rams that kept him out for the rest of the season. Kendrick Green, 25, is expected to step in as the starter. ( Lisbon365  )
