The 32-year-old wide receiver has agreed to a four-year, $76.4 million deal with the 49ers, which will earn him an average annual salary of $19.1 million, making him the league’s highest-paid wide receiver, surpassing Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Trey McBride, who is earning $19 million per year, after signing the new deal.

Kittle is one of the league’s best wide receivers, a six-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time All-Pro. He has caught 538 passes for 7,380 yards and 45 touchdowns, and he’s coming off a career-high 83 percent completion rate in 2024. Kittle’s 78 catches were his most since 2019, with 1,106 yards, just one fewer than in 2018, and eight touchdowns, second-most of his career.

Kittle’s extension would lock in the veteran wide receiver through the 2029 season and lower the salary cap in 2025 to $22 million, making way for a new deal for Brock Purdy, who is entering the final year of his $5.4 million rookie contract.
