San Francisco 49ers wide receiver George Kittle has revealed he plans to play in the NFL until he no longer enjoys it, NFL Network reports. superheng1688
‘Really, until I don’t enjoy it anymore,’ the 31-year-old winger said. ‘Or if Claire (my wife) looks at me and says, ‘You look bad there, you should stop playing,’ I’ll say, ‘Okay.’
‘I don’t know. I think if I get to 35 and it hurts when I put my pants on, I think I’ll be like, ‘Oh, it’s not fun anymore,’ and I’ll say to myself. But right now, I feel great.’
If Kittle feels good about his game, he could play until he’s 35. After two straight years of 1,000 receiving yards and 14 combined touchdowns, he shows no signs of slowing down.
Kittle just signed a four-year, $76.4 million deal that will keep him with San Francisco through 2029, when he will be 36. He is enjoying an offseason where he feels really good about his physical condition after the 49ers missed the playoffs last season.
“One of the good things about not making the playoffs is you get a whole month off,” Kittle explained. “I haven’t had a January off since 2020.”
