Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll has revealed he won’t rely solely on Ashton Ginty, despite the No. 6 overall rookie running back’s ability to break tackles and change plays, NFL Network reports. sudpung168

“I like having multiple players,” Carroll said. “I don’t rely on one player, you know.”

Ginty is a key player in the Raiders’ running back room that also includes Raheem Mostert, Samir White and Sincere McCormick. When asked how he would split the workload, Carroll said, “They’re going to show us that, you know, when they get a chance to compete.”

“We’re pretty much one,” Mostert said of the Raiders running back room, before saying of Ginty. “He’s a big guy, and I am too. We both play the pass game. We’re trying to be as efficient as we can be. I think when we both play in the backfield and use our skills, I think it’s going to be a great show.”

Carroll added of the rookie running back: “Ashton looks exactly like we hoped he would. He catches the ball really well. He understands everything, takes everything seriously and gives it his all throughout the game and we value him a lot. Everybody’s watching you, you know, and he’s embraced that mentality.
