Sociedad reach agreement with Hummels hotfuns

Spanish outlet Cadena Ser reported on Sunday that Real Sociedad have reached an agreement in principle with German defender Mats Hummels on a one-year contract with the option to extend for a further 12 months, with the official signing expected on Monday. 

Hummels is a free agent after his contract with Borussia Dortmund expired this summer, with the 35-year-old having been linked with a number of clubs, including Bologna, AC Milan and Mallorca, before Real Sociedad swooped in and are understood to have overtaken the former Germany international.

Real Sociedad have reportedly agreed a one-year deal with Hummels, with the option of a further year, and the Basque side are hoping the 35-year-old will sign the deal on Monday to be available for Wednesday’s La Liga clash with Alaves.  ( hotfuns )
