The Sun has recently linked Chelsea with another player, with Everton striker Calvert-Lewin emerging as an option for the Blues.

The main reason, according to the report, is that negotiations over the player’s transfer fee and salary have taken a long time and have not yet reached a conclusion, causing the Chelsea team to look at other options that are more likely to be possible and have a cheaper price.

At 27, ‘DCL’ may be over the age limit for Chelsea’s consideration but with just one year left on his contract, the Englishman is an attractive option in the goalscoring role. 

It is up to Chelsea to escalate talks, with The Sun estimating Everton are ready to let DCL go if the right price is met.
