Former Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons has a new home after agreeing to a one-year, $8 million deal with $7.5 million guaranteed with the Atlanta Falcons, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports. ( wilson88 )

Simmons spent the first eight years of his career with the Broncos, making two Pro Bowls (2020 and 2023) before being released from the team on March 7. The 30-year-old safety has found a new home after signing a one-year deal with the Falcons more than five months ago as a free agent.

The former third-round pick in the 2016 draft class is one of the NFL’s top safeties. He is the only player to have at least two interceptions in each season from 2016-2023 and has 30 combined, trailing only the Minnesota Vikings’ Harrison Smith (34) and New Orleans Saints’ Tyrann Mathieu (33).

Simmons will join the safeties Jesse Bates, Richie Grant, DeMarco Hellams, Dane Cruickshank, Micah Abernethy and Lucas Denis.
