Mundo Deportivo reported on Sunday that Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr are set to make a move for Barcelona’s Ansu Fati in a bid to sign the 22-year-old forward in January. 

Fati was once regarded as one of the most talented players to come out of La Masia, but his progress was hampered by a series of injuries and intense competition within the team, leading to a loan spell at Brighton last season.

Although Fati returned with more expectations under new coach Hansi Flick, he had an unfortunate start to the season, suffering a plantar fasciitis in pre-season that kept him sidelined for three months. Although the 22-year-old has now recovered, he has yet to get much playing time. 

Barcelona are reportedly willing to let Fati leave in January on loan or outright sale, with Saudi Pro League duo Al-Halal and Al-Nassr interested, but it will be up to the player to decide how he wants to revive his career. ( vox888 )
