The reigning African Player of the Year will enter the final year of his contract with Atalanta in the summer, making a move likely, and there have been signs throughout the 2024-25 season that his time in Bergamo could be coming to an end.

The 27-year-old was also close to a move to PSG last summer.

Mundo Deportivo says Atalanta could be in talks over a €30m release clause for Lukman, whose contract expires in 2026.

However, Lukman was not a target for Barca ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

When it comes to attack, Nico Williams remains a firm favourite, although Barca have been reluctant to negotiate with Athletic Bilbao after a deal fell through last summer.

Milan’s Leo is also an option, especially given the uncertainty at San Siro this season.

Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has also been linked with a move to Barcelona.
