Youri Berchiche will miss Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final first leg at Rangers after the 35-year-old Athletic Bilbao left-back suffered a right calf injury and is expected to be out for around two weeks, Marca reported on Tuesday.

Youri was withdrawn in the 35th minute of Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Villarreal and the 35-year-old left-back is expected to be out for around two weeks, with coach Ernesto Valverde reportedly considering bringing on Adama Boiro in his place or potentially shifting Inigo Leke from right to left-back.

pony88 Meanwhile, Jerray Alvarez and Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta have both recovered from injuries, returned to training and are ready to travel to Glasgow, as is Maroan Zannadi, who picked up a minor injury in the last game. ( pony88 )
