Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is confident CeeDee Lamb will return to practice with the team soon and the 25-year-old wide receiver will be ready for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 8, NFL Network reports. ( sakidbet  )

Lamb is also embroiled in a contract dispute with the Cowboys ahead of the final year of his rookie contract in 2024, with the 25-year-old wide receiver skipping out on mandatory offseason activities and minicamp. He didn’t practice with his teammates at training camp, which worried fans, but Parsons confirmed Lamb will be back with the team soon. 

‘CD called me,’ Parsons said. ‘He watched the training video and said to me, ‘You’re crazy.’ We talked about it, but eventually (he) figured out what it was.’ 

Lamb is entering the fifth year of his $17.99 million deal through 2024, but the 25-year-old wide receiver knows he has to secure his future before he risks his big-money salary by going without a deal. It’s part of the business, but the Cowboys haven’t done a good job of handling Lamb’s situation. 

Lamb has been consistent throughout his first four seasons of his career, catching 395 passes for 5,145 yards and 32 touchdowns, with a career-high 135 catches heading into the 2023 season as he propels the Cowboys to the NFC East title. 

‘CD is part of this group, whether he likes it or not,’ Parsons said. ‘He knows he’s not going anywhere. As for the business side, they’ll definitely take care of it.’ 

‘In the first week of the game, he will play for the Dallas Cowboys.’
