The Costa Rican goalkeeper’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of last season, leaving Navas free to look for a new club, although there was no clear direction before this, but he is now set to join Monza.  ( vox888  )

The Italian Serie A club tried to contact Pierluigi Gollini but failed to reach an agreement, resulting in the negotiations being called off.

However, Monza immediately turned their attention to Navas, and the Italian club’s offer was very appealing to the 37-year-old, prompting talks to progress quickly and eventually conclude.

The transfer is not yet 100 percent complete as a medical examination is still pending, with Navas set to travel to Italy this week.

However, Romano believes that there will be no problems with the collaboration between Monza and Navas, except if there are any obstacles in the medical examination.
