    “I think they’ve got some good signings in the defensive positions that are good enough to help the team,” Murphy told Match of the Day. “But they haven’t solved the problem of the goalscoring deficit. Last season they scored the fewest goals of any club in the top half of the table.”

    “The team brought in Joshua Zirkze, who is the only attacking player. He is a kid. He is not a finisher and he is not a true center forward.”

    “That won’t put Manchester United where they need to be in terms of competing for titles, even the top four. I think they’ll still struggle even if they create chances and have creativity in the team.”
