20 minutes, Man Utd had a close call when Diogo Dalot crossed from the right into the penalty area. The ball went past Manuel Ugarte and reached Alejandro Garnacho who didn’t expect the ball to come and didn’t prepare enough to head it.

Manchester United had a chance from the counter-attack mainly. In the 27th minute, Bruno Fernandes passed the ball into the penalty area on the left side for Patrick Dorku to shoot with his left but it was not on target. Then Bruno created another chance by dropping it to Ugarte who shot but did not hit it fully.

At the end of the first half, in the 40th minute, Manchester United had another chance. Diogo Dalot passed the ball back to Bruno Fernandes, who flicked it on to Casemiro, who shot with his right foot in the penalty area, but it was not far from Ederson, so he saved it.

Back to the second half, 4 minutes in, Man City almost scored when Omar Marmouch flicked the ball to Phil Foden who broke into the penalty area and was about to shoot hard, but Noussair Mazraoui poked his foot out just in time.

65′ Man City had another chance from a free kick in front of the penalty area where Omar Marmouch was fouled and he got up to shoot himself, but the ball went over the wall but was saved by Andre Onana. 

Four minutes later, Marmouch had a golden opportunity when a United defender cleared the ball outside the penalty area and he volleyed it with full force, but Onana saved it.

Man Utd had a close chance in the 71st minute when Manuel Ugarte fired a powerful shot just outside the penalty area but it went wide.

mungme168 In the 77th minute, the home team almost got a chance to cheer when substitute Joshua Zirkzee swung a cross from Dorku, but it was saved by Ederson. Mason Mount, another substitute, had a follow-up shot, but it was blocked by Rico Lewis.
