Greenwood joined Olympique Marseille last summer and started his career in Ligue 1 but has since fallen off the mark and become a purely goal-oriented attacker.
“I expect more from him. He has to do more because what he’s showing now is not enough.”
“If he wants to achieve his dream of becoming a champion, he needs to be more consistent, sacrifice more for the team and be more determined.”
De Zerbi decided to drop Greenwood to the bench for the Ligue 1 home game against Lens last weekend, showing that anyone can be rested.
“He lacks consistency, he’s like a wave, that’s what I don’t like. If someone is training badly, they don’t play, no matter what their name is,” De Zerbi said.
