Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Jordan Love was forced to sit out the 30-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars because the 25-year-old quarterback suffered a groin injury, ESPN reported on Sunday. ( vox888 )

Love had missed two games this season with a knee injury before the 25-year-old quarterback, who was struggling with a left leg issue, was pulled after the first drive of the second half, completing 14-of-22 passes for 196 yards, no touchdowns and one interception, with Malik Willis filling in for him. 

“Obviously the level of concern is very high,” LaFleur said of Love’s injury. “I think everybody saw that he was struggling to move his body, and I just got to a point where we couldn’t do that. He felt like he couldn’t protect himself.” 

The Packers are not expecting Love to be out for a long time, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, and the Packers are waiting for further testing results on the 25-year-old quarterback.

Willis came off the bench to complete 4-of-5 for 56 yards and a touchdown with the Packers trailing 10-13 when Love left the field. He powered through three drives, most notably a seven-play, 64-yard drive that set up Brandon McManus’ 24-yard field goal to seal the win.
