Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence says he’s excited about the team’s weapons heading into the 2024 season, especially its wide receivers, NFL Network reports. ( wilson88 ) 

The Jaguars lost wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones to the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals, respectively, but added Gabe Davis and Devin Duvernay from free agents and selected Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round of the draft, with Christian Kirk remaining as the starting wide receiver.

“We’ve got a great group of wide receivers, I don’t want to just talk about wide receivers because wide receivers are a part of that,” Lawrence said. “We’ve got great wide receivers. You mentioned Evans (Engram), obviously had a great year last year. He’s great with the ball in his hands. He does a lot of things for us. He’s a good blocker, too.”

‘Brenton (Strange), a young guy who didn’t get the ball a lot last year but has a lot of talent and is a really good player, I think he’s going to shine this year. Then all the wide receivers, you have Christian (Kirk), Devin (Duvernay), Brian (Thomas Jr.) and Gabe (Davis) who we picked up in the offseason, and that’s just to mention a few. We’ve got a lot of young guys who can really make plays.’

‘So you look at that and just the type of pass rushers we have, whether they’re big, fast, strong, good at getting the ball out or creating separation, I think we’ve got it all as a quarterback. That excites me a lot.’
