kuiper999 Mike Vrabel is set to reassess New England Patriots’ squad after the 2025 draft

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel believes the Warriors are on the up after signing several free agents, especially on defense, but will reevaluate after the draft in late April, NFL Network reports. kuiper999

“We continue to look at ways to strengthen the roster, to improve the roster, to increase competition,” Vrabel said. “I think that’s the key to having a 90-man roster, is to have competition throughout the roster. We can add premium players that we feel can help us at every level of the defense.”

‘The players that we have on our team right now and the players that we’re adding, (I) feel like we like the guys as much as the players, and I feel like that’s really important when you’re talking about free agents.’

The Patriots signed Super Bowl 59 champion defensive tackle Milton Williams from the Philadelphia Eagles on a four-year, $104 million deal, a run-stopper who excelled in the game, followed by signing former Detroit Lions cornerback Carlton Davis to a three-year, $60 million deal and edge rusher Harold Landry to a three-year, $43.5 million deal.

This includes signing two former Las Vegas Raiders linebackers KeLavon Chiasson and Robert Spillane, 28-year-old nose tackle Kyrese Tonga and 29-year-old safety Marcus Epps.

The Patriots also revamped their offensive line, signing offensive tackle Morgan Moses, guard Wes Schwitzer and center Garrett Bradbury, as well as signing veteran wide receiver Stephon Diggs.

‘The more he can do, the more opportunities we’ll give him,’ Vrabel said of Dicks. ‘He’s working hard to get back, so I’m not going to put a timeframe or speculate on when he’ll be back, but I know he’s working very hard, I’m more than confident about how hard he’s working.’

Vrabel also talked about working with second-year quarterback Drake Maye, saying, “He’s young, he’s energetic, he’s excited. He’s young-looking, you know what I mean? He’s 22, and he’s ready to learn. He’s hungry to take the next step, and he’s excited to help us build a program that we can all be proud of and head in the right direction.” ( kuiper999 )
