Denver Broncos left tackle Garrett Boles has heaped praise on Bo Nix after the 25-year-old quarterback impressed in his rookie season and expressed confidence the young quarterback will take things to the next level in 2025, NFL Network reported. kuiper999
“Bo is a great football player,” Boles said. “I’m so thankful to be able to protect him and be his constant protector. He’s a natural freak. You look at the numbers he put up last year. Between him and (Jayden) Daniels, those are two of the best quarterbacks in the league that are going to have a lot of success, and I’ve got one of them right behind me.”
‘His mannerisms, his demeanor, his composure and his work ethic, just always wanting to improve himself, his talent, and the way he sees himself, he’s really a cool guy.’
There are plenty of potential players at the position in the 2024 draft, and Nix is seen as a surviving option, but Wildcats coach Sean Payton sees value in Nix’s five years as a starter at Auburn and Oregon, and his skill set that could blend well with Payton’s offensive system.
Nix had a great start to his rookie season, throwing for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, a 93.3 quarterback rating, and leading Denver to its first playoff appearance since 2015.
“You’d think a rookie like that would come in and it would be tough for him to adapt to life in the NFL,” the 33-year-old left tackle added. “I think it paid off for him at the time he played in college and the staff he had at Auburn and Oregon, then he came to Denver and embraced his role and was the leader that he is, leading his team on the field to score.”
