Tennessee Titans chief football operations Chad Brinker has denied reports that the team is in talks to trade Will Lewis, with the team likely to select a new quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft later this April, NFL Network reports. Kodma168
‘We haven’t contacted anybody, and nobody has contacted us about Will Lewis,’ Brinker confirmed. ‘I don’t think anything has changed since somebody asked me about it a month ago.
The Titans’ quarterback depth chart currently consists of Lewis and two veterans in Brandon Allen and Tom Boyle, but if they go with Cam Ward or Scheider Sanders, that means Lewis would become surplus to requirements in Tennessee and could be traded down the line.
“What’s the plan with Will Lewis? The plan with Lewis is he has a chance to compete for a starting position next year,” Brinker said. “And that’s the same with every player on our roster. Will is no different. I see him on our team. He works hard. Everybody knows he’s a good kid. He works hard. He’s going to give it his all.
