Carolina Panthers wide receiver Hunter Renfrow said he will do his best to take advantage of the opportunity to return to football after a year away from playing due to an autoimmune disease, NFL Network reports.  ( kindee1688 )

“It hit me hard,” Renfrow said. “Last year, my weight fluctuated. I was down to 150 pounds. I had a 103-degree fever for seven days straight. It’s hard to play when you’re not feeling well.”

Renfrow is set to return this offseason, with the former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver revealing he currently weighs 187 pounds and hopes to play with the Panthers at 185 pounds.

“I’m just trying to come back, trying to get healthy, trying to do what I love,” Renfrow said. “I enjoy other parts of my life. We have our second daughter, so I enjoy that, and I want to make sure that if I’m going to come back and put my time and focus into something, I’m going to put my full focus into it.”
