The Buffalo Bills sent former Cincinnati Bengals backup quarterback McCarron, who signed a two-year, $10 million deal in March to compete with sophomore quarterback Nathan Peterman and rookie Josh Allen, in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick from the Raiders on Saturday afternoon as Oakland looks to add McCarron to its back-up role to Derek Carr.
McCarron was abysmal, throwing for just 39 yards in three quarters in the final preseason game, outperforming Peterman and Allen, who are both likely to start in the first week of the regular season, so the Bills traded the 27-year-old quarterback for a fifth-round draft pick from the Raiders.
