pgzen England captain Harry Kane has said he wants to play for the Three Lions beyond the 2026 World Cup finals, despite speculation linking the Bayern Munich star with a move away from new head coach Thomas Tuchel. pgzen

The 31-year-old is the Three Lions’ all-time top scorer, having scored 69 goals in 103 games, most recently netting in the 5-0 Nations League final victory over Ireland. 

However, there is also a trend of disdain for the former Spurs striker because he criticized his English teammates who have withdrawn from playing for their homeland, believing that the national team is bigger than the club. Therefore, when receiving this honor, there should be no hesitation. 

When it comes to his intentions for the Three Lions, Kane reiterated that the World Cup in two years’ time, co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States, is not a farewell tournament. 

“I don’t think it’s my last tournament,” he told Sky Sports after unveiling the life-size statue, which was created by Rydgeway Rovers, the team he has trained since his youth. 

“I think there’s a perception that when you get over 30, it’s the end of the road. But for me, I can still produce at a high level, produce as well as I’ve ever done, feel good as I’ve always done. So it’s just a matter of the job.” 

“Throughout my career, I don’t like to look too far ahead and see what happens. Never. I just look at what the 2026 World Cup is, what is exciting.” 

“Playing in the US, it’s probably the most amazing and wonderful opportunity. Just think about trying to win, see where you are, where you need to improve, and it won’t be much different in the next two or three years.”  

Kane has never won a major trophy for club or country since his professional career. The closest he has come was a Champions League runner-up, Carabao Cup runner-up with Spurs, and two Euro runner-up finishes with England.( pgzen )
