Traditionally, a player who scores a hat-trick in a match takes home a ball signed by his teammates and all the staff, and the England captain has done so in back-to-back games, with the England captain netting a hat-trick in the 6-1 Bundesliga rout of Holstein Kiel at the weekend. 

There was some complaining and teasing in the dressing room about Kane, telling him to tone it down, his hands were cramped up and he was going to sign the ball. 

“Take home the ball from the game where you scored a hat-trick. The lads may be tired of having to sign it – but I’m telling you it’s coming back,” he told the UEFA network.

“My son Louis is already loving playing football, even though he’s only 3 years old.”
