Spanish centre-back Mario Quila, 23, has confirmed he will not be leaving Lazio this summer amid links to former club Real Madrid, who still own 50 per cent of the player, according to ‘Il Messaggero’ on Sunday.  ( superwin636 )

Real Madrid allowed Mario Quila to join Lazio in the summer of 2022 for just €6m, but Los Blancos still own 50 per cent of the player, so they can either bring him back for half the fee or wait to receive half of the fee for his next transfer. 

Real Madrid are reportedly keen to sign more centre-backs this summer following the departures of Nacho Fernandez and Rafa Marin, with 18-year-old Lille centre-back Leni Yoro and former club Mario Quila also linked, but the 23-year-old has rejected the chance to return to the Spanish capital.

‘Of course I will not leave here, even if Real Madrid has the right to buy me and an offer comes. This club believes in me and I believe in Lazio as well,’ said Kila.
