Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to beat Coventry 2-1 in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, meaning Spurs were able to secure a place in the next round after scoring two late goals. ( thaisiambet )

“It’s very difficult, nobody in our team looks down on Coventry, we’ve played against them quite a few times and know they play good football,” the winger who scored the winner told Sky Sports. 

“We let them play too easy and gave the opposition too many chances. We were really under pressure, but we always kept going.

“It happened too many times, there was too much chaos, too many times we gave the ball away too easily, didn’t threaten the opposition as much, didn’t get forward enough, goals came from quick play and that’s what we want to do more often.

“It (goal) was really good. It felt great to score, especially at the end of the game. It’s really important to go to the next round because the penalty shootout is like a coin flip, so scoring at the end of the game is really helpful.”
