The Nerazzurri drew 0-0 at Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday night, allowing the Nerazzurri to start the new Champions League format with a point.

“I told the boys: ‘Well done boys’, they did a great job,” the Italian said after the game at the Etihad Stadium.

“I told them to play like they showed, we all know what Manchester City are capable of, so we knew we had to stop them playing so well and we did.

“I asked (Matteo) Darmian why he didn’t shoot (during the breakaway in the second half), he said he heard (Nicolo) Barella behind him (so he back-heeled it). 

“I was even more frustrated that (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan didn’t score. I was very disappointed because I thought we were going to score,” ( sunlit1688 )
