Gary picks two worst signings in Ten Hag’s era Lisbon365

    The Dutch boss was sacked as United manager after the defeat to West Ham in the latest game, leaving the team with a terrible start in both the league and Europe, with Gary Neville describing the purchases of Casemiro for £70m and Antony for £86m as the biggest failures in the club’s history.

    “The results this season have been terrible, it’s been shocking, the league position has been terrible, he can’t complain about it,” Gary told The Overlap US. “His legacy is two trophies in two seasons through difficult times.”

    “I think the two worst signings Manchester United have ever made were the signings of Casemiro and Antony – the club signed them for a combined £140-150m in a panic after losing to Brentford and Brighton.”

    “I hope I’m wrong. I hope Casemiro does a great job at the club for four or five years and I hope Antony does well. But that signing is why United have to go back into the transfer market and sign Ugarte and other players.”
