Former UCLA head coach Jim Mora expressed his opinion before the draft in late April that USC quarterback Sam Darnold would be a good fit for Cleveland. Browns over Josh Rosen, quarterback from Mora’s old team. ( superpg1688  )

Mora came out to support the Browns, who hold the No. 1 pick in the draft, that they should select Darnold from USC over Rosen, a quarterback from his former team, because he believes Quar. The quarterback from USC would be a better fit in Cleveland’s system.

‘I’d pick Sam Darnold if I were the Cleveland Browns,’ Mora said. ‘I think he’s got promise. I think his teammates will love him. I think the city will love him. He said the right things. He will come in and be a good representative. I think he will prove that in Cleveland. Then if I were one of the New York teams (Giants and Jets), I’d pick Rosen. I think they’d be stronger.’
