    The “Red and Black Devils” showed great form in their last game, defeating “Los Blancos” 3-1 in the Champions League, but Fonseca sees the meeting with Cagliari in the league as something completely different and is more concerned about this game than the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu. 

    “It’s important for everything. We can’t make mistakes again in games like this and we can’t drop points. We come into this game with a great performance. If we don’t beat Cagliari, beating Madrid doesn’t mean anything,” Fonseca said.

    “It will be a completely different game because of the nature of the opponent, but the victory is important.”

    Fonseca also insisted he was more concerned about Cagliari than Madrid, saying: “There are many reasons. First of all, I must say that these games are very motivating for the players.”

    “Honestly, the players prepare for games like this with more motivation. That’s why I was more worried today about the game against Cagliari than about the game against Real Madrid.”
