Fermin Lopez, the 21-year-old midfielder, had a short break before reporting for his first training session with Barcelona under Hansi Flick on Tuesday, according to Diario Sport. 

The 21-year-old midfielder is one of two players from the Spanish national team who will be involved in two major tournaments, Euro 2024 and the 2024 Olympics, along with Villarreal’s 22-year-old midfielder Alex Baena, who was part of the European Championship and brought home the gold medal in the French capital.

Firmin did not have much time to recover, and the 21-year-old midfielder returned to training on Tuesday and is likely to be available for Saturday’s trip to Athletic Bilbao. 

According to a further report from Spanish journalist Guillem Borras Perez, the Blaugrana team-mates lined up to welcome and congratulate Firmin on winning both Euro 2024 and the Olympic football gold medal. ( wilson88 )
