“Gudmundsson was born in Reykjavík on 15 June 1997 and has played for AZ Alkmaar and PSV, with whom he won the Dutch league title,” the club said in a statement. ( zbet911s  )

“Last season, he played 37 matches for Genoa in Serie A and the Coppa Italia, scoring 16 goals and providing five assists.”

“Gudmundsson has also played 37 times for the Iceland senior national team, scoring 10 goals.”

Interestingly, Fiorentina’s announcement of Gudmundsson’s signing came just minutes after Genoa announced the signing of Andrea Pinamonti, his replacement.

The players’ moves are in a chain reaction, one that could end with Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez moving to Juventus for €30m.
