Wigan confirmed on Friday that Paul Dummett has signed a short-term contract until January.

The 33-year-old full-back has made over 200 appearances for Newcastle and can play at centre-back or left-back and would be an immediate option for the team.

While Shaun Maloney’s Wigan are currently 19th in League One, three points clear of the top flight and are due to face Wycombe on Saturday.
