Moyes disagreed with the decision, believing that even though Diaz did not play the ball while offside, he was still obstructing James Tarkowski’s clearance and should therefore be considered involved in the game.

” Liverpool had a goal from offside, that was the difference in the game, ” Moyes said.

” It should have been offside. I think the player behind Tarkowski was preventing him from clearing the ball. It was clearly offside. It was a very easy decision.”
