Napoli beat Roma 1-0 at home in Serie A on Sunday night, sending the Neapolitan giants back to the top of the table, with 29 points from 13 games. 

“Before going into the game, I told my players not to look at the table, but to focus on ourselves and to continue improving what we have been working on,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia.

“I still tell my team the same thing now because we need to do a lot of things to improve our game.

“I’m happy with the performance in the 65 minutes. We should have taken more of our chances and outplayed a strong team like Roma, who have great players. We had to be more careful from set pieces, where they hit the crossbar.

“Roma are starting with a new coach (Claudio Ranieri) so they are hungry to prove themselves, but we were able to cope better in the last 15-20 minutes, but we went too deep and made things difficult for ourselves.” ( player1688 )
