City fans relieved as Savinho’s ankle sprained, brief injury Kindee1688 

Kindee1688 Manchester City have been relieved by the injury problems of winger Savinho, who is not suffering any structural damage. He will be back in contention after a short rest in the Champions League in midweek against Sporting Lisbon (5 Nov). Kindee1688 

According to reports from the Brazilian Premier League, Savinho was injured in the Carabao Cup last-16 loss to Spurs on Wednesday and had to be carried off the field, with initial concerns that he may have suffered ankle ligament damage or a fractured bone. 

But the latest scan results at the Etihad Campus showed that he only had a sprained right ankle, meaning he will miss the game against Bournemouth (November 2), but he is likely to travel to Portugal to play in the Champions League at the Estadio de Alvalade .

The 20-year-old has been impressive in his first year for the Citizens, playing on both the right and left wing, making 13 appearances in all competitions and providing five assists. 

It will be interesting to see how manager Josep Guardiola will play at the Vitality Stadium with almost all of his wingers out with Savinho, Jack Grealish, Jeremie Doku and Oscar Bobb all out injured. ( Kindee1688  )
