kodma168 Premier League giants Chelsea have made a secret move to sign Sporting Lisbon youngster Giovanni Quenda ahead of Manchester United.

The Portugal Under-21 international will play for Sporting next season before moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2026. kodma168

The transfer is thought to be worth around £40million and the player will sign a seven-year contract with the option of a 12-month extension.

United considered a bid for Quenda, who turns 18 in April and was previously coached by Portuguese boss Ruben Amorim at Sporting. The Blues

have continued their policy of bringing in “wonderkids”, allowing Quenda to play at Sporting for another season to continue his development. Quenda, who

can play on either wing, will join a Blues side that already has youngsters Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez, who are due to move in the summer of 2025.

The left-footed winger has made 35 appearances for Sporting this season and has been a key figure in the club’s run to the UEFA Champions League, providing an assist for Swedish striker Viktor Jokeres in a 4-1 win over Manchester City in November. ( kodma168 )
