Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, 27, is emphasizing the importance of a win against the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday to keep their season hopes alive, NFL Network reports.

The Bengals are down to 3-5 after their latest loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, so Sunday’s game against the Raiders is crucial for the Bengals to save their season if they have any hope of making the playoffs, according to the 27-year-old.

“This is a must-win game,” Burrow said. “We’re 3-5, you go 3-6, then you have to win to get in the playoffs. The urgency is high every week from now on.”

The Bengals started the season with a dismal 0-3 record before recovering and winning three of their next four games, only to stumble again with a 17-37 loss to the Eagles in their last game, leaving them behind their AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) and the Baltimore Ravens (5-3).

“This is the situation we’re in,” Burrow said. “We know what we have to do next, and we’re going to meet that challenge the best we can and try to give ourselves a chance to win by playing our part and trying to be as consistent as we can and trying to find the win.”

Despite the Bengals’ struggles, Burrow has been excellent for the most part. He has completed 70.3 percent of his passes for 1,993 yards, 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

However, Burrow stressed that the Cubs must continue to build on their momentum to keep the season going, saying, “I think the momentum is real.”

While AFC rivals the Ravens (Deontae Johnson), Buffalo Bills (Amari Cooper) and Kansas City Chiefs (Deandre Hopkins) have all upgraded their offensive rosters by trading wide receivers to bolster their playoff chances, the Bengals are holding off on making a move ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline.

But Burrows was quick to comment on the matter, saying: ‘That’s not my job.’ ( Onelove168  )
