Just 10 minutes in, Real Madrid were awarded a penalty when Cesare Tarrega fouled Kylian Mbappe, which was ruled a foul by VAR, but Vinicius Junior’s shot was saved by Georgi Mamardashvili.

After escaping a goal, Valencia took a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute from a corner kick. Andre Almeida crossed for Mukhtar Diakhaby to head into the net.

In the 20th minute, Valencia escaped another goal when Mukhtar Diakhaby tried to kick the ball away but ended up scoring an own goal, but VAR checked that Kylian Mbappe was offside.

In the second half, in the 50th minute, Real Madrid equalized 1-1 from a corner kick. Jude Bellingham crossed the ball to the far post and Vinicius Junior flicked it into the net from close range.

The game looked to be heading for a draw, but Valencia took a 2-1 lead in the 90+5 minute when Rafa Mir broke through into the right side of the penalty area and crossed for Hugo Duro to head home from close range.
