Bruce returns to management role as Blackpool boss pgzen

Bruce has managed more than 1,000 official games for clubs including Birmingham, Hull City, Aston Villa and Newcastle.

He took over after Blackpool sacked Neil Critchley on 21 August after starting the season with two consecutive defeats.

Steve Agnew, Bruce’s key assistant, will also join him at Bloomfield Road, joining a coaching staff that includes Richard Keogh, Stephen Dobbie and Steve Banks.

“I would like to thank Simon, Julian and David for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I look forward to meeting all the officials and players over the next few days as we prepare for what we hope will be an exciting season at Bloomfield Road.”
